Accessibility

We want everyone — young people, families, social workers and commissioners — to be able to use this website, whatever technology or support they rely on. This page sets out honestly where we've got to, not just where we'd like to be. 

What we've done so far

We've reviewed text against background colours on our imagery, especially where text sits over photos, and adjusted sizing and contrast where it was hard to read. Pages use a clear, consistent structure — headings, short paragraphs, and plain English throughout, avoiding unnecessary jargon.

Every page has a clear heading, is reachable from the main menu, and now has a footer linking to every page on the site, so nothing is more than one click away. 

Where we're still improving

Every image on the site now has descriptive alternative text for anyone using a screen reader, and every page has a single, correctly structured heading rather than several competing ones. We have not yet carried out a formal accessibility audit against the WCAG standard, so we can't claim full compliance — this page will be updated honestly as that work happens.
