Everyday support that builds real independence

We provide safe, supportive homes for young people aged 16–17 who are preparing for independent adulthood. In some circumstances, and where the local authority agrees it is in the young person's best interests and meets their needs, we can continue supporting young people beyond their 18th birthday. Our approach is simple: every young person receives support that is shaped around their goals, their strengths and their future — never a one-size-fits-all plan.

A safe, stable home. Private bedrooms, comfortable shared living spaces, staff on-site around the clock plus an on-call manager for anything more urgent. Security and fire safety are built in as standard, and cameras are never placed anywhere private.

Everyday independence skills. Budgeting and money management, cooking, keeping a home, and understanding the practical responsibilities of independent living such as tenancies, bills and appointments.

Education and employment. Help with job applications, CVs and interview practice, plus support to stay in education, training, or move into an apprenticeship.

Emotional wellbeing. A consistent key worker relationship, regular one-to-one sessions, and support to access counselling or therapy when it's needed.

Health. Support attending appointments and getting registered with local health services.

Every young person is matched with a dedicated keyworker and a personalised support plan, co-produced with them and aligned to their local authority pathway plan, so progress is tracked against goals that actually matter to them.

Staffing is planned around real need. We work to a minimum staff-to-young-person ratio, with enhanced 1:1 or 2:1 support where a risk assessment calls for it, and a senior manager is on call around the clock for anything that can't wait until morning.

Moving on. When a young person is ready, we plan the next step together — whether that's a tenancy, supported lodgings, or another form of semi-independent living — so the transition out is as carefully planned as the placement itself.

Quality assurance. Our practice is checked through monthly governance meetings, an independent Quality Assurance Lead, and formal reviews at least every six months, so commissioners and families alike can be confident in the standard of support young people receive.
